October is all about going pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
1 in 7 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime and around 400 men are diagnosed with breast cancer every year in the UK. Regular checking and early detection is life-saving.
Signs and symptoms to be aware of include:
- Lumps or thickening
- New shape/size
- Nipple inversion
- Redness/rash
- Nipple discharge
- Changes in skin texture
- Swelling in armpit or collarbone
- Unusual pain
Usually it is nothing to worry about, however if you are ever in doubt always get checked out!
